The 11th India International Youth Sailing Championship 2026 is being held from January 4 to January 10 at Chennai Port. The championship features 117 sailors from 13 countries. It is considered India’s most consistent international youth sailing regatta.

Assam has become the first state in India to constitute its 8th State Pay Commission. This commission was established even before the current 7th Pay Commission expired on January 1, 2026.
