Chhattisgarh has emerged as the top-performing state in the Ministry of Jal Shaktiâs Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari (JSJB) and Catch the Rain campaigns. Five districts of Chhattisgarh â Surajpur, Mahasamund, Balod, Balodabazar-Bhatapara and Kabirdham â featured among Indiaâs top 10 districts for water conservation. Launched in September 2024, JSJB focuses on community-led rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge and revival of defunct borewells. In the third edition, Chhattisgarh registered 79,775 water conservation structures, of which 77,719 were completed.
