Bulgaria officially became the 21st Eurozone member. The country is located in southeastern Europe with its capital at Sofia. This move marks deeper integration with the European Union.

The European Union introduced the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. It is an import duty imposed on goods produced outside Europe, calculated on the basis of carbon emissions during production, and primarily targets products such as steel and aluminium.

It is located on the right bank of the Punatsangchhu River in Wangdue Phodrang district of Bhutan. Funding is provided by India with a 30% grant and 70% loan.</p>

Denmark has officially ended traditional mail delivery after 401 years due to a 90 percent decline in mail volume since the year 2000. The state-owned postal service, PostNord, will now focus entirely on e-commerce logistics and parcel delivery. Citizens requiring physical letter services must use private delivery kiosks located in local shops.

General Mamady Doumbouya was elected President of Guinea with 86.72 percent of the vote in provisional results. He initially seized power through a military coup in 2021 and has now secured a seven-year presidential mandate.

India surpassed Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy with a Gross Domestic Product of approximately 4.18 trillion United States dollars. India is also projected to overtake Germany to become the third-largest economy by the year 2030.
